Puzzles was founded by Sofia Christakis, a Special Education teacher in N.Y.C. with a decade of experience. Her mission is to spread inclusion and neurodiversity amongst children and families. Puzzles is a fully inclusive space welcoming children of ALL abilities!

The story behind the name Puzzles came to Sofia when she started brainstorming about her inclusive center.

A puzzle piece has always been associated with Autism; however, her symbol is the whole complete puzzle. Each child's brain is an amazing puzzle that we have the opportunity to welcome. That is the reason we are called Puzzles! All voices, brains and children are welcome here. We adjust and respect all individuals. That's the beauty behind neurodiversity! Sofia and her team believe that ALL children are complete, there is nothing missing from any child. It is not our jobs to put pieces together, they are already whole.
